Nigeria’s Silas Adekunle, 27, has become the highest-paid person in the field of robotic engineering.

Adekunle, who built the first gaming robot, signed a new contract with one of the world’s leading software manufacturers, Apple Inc.

He was previously named as “Someone to Watch in 2018” by the Black Hedge Fund Group.

Adekunle is the founder and chief executive officer of Reach Robotics, a company developing the world’s first gaming robots.

He graduated with a First-Class degree from the University of the West of England and has four years’ experience in the field of robotics.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he moved to the United States as a teenager and participated in the Robotics in Schools programme which encourages study of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (Stem).

He founded Reach Robotics in 2013 and four years later released the world’s first gaming robot, MekaMon.

The initial launch sold 500 bots, generating $7.5 million according to the Guardian.
